The objective of our awareness campaigns is to educate the public about Down syndrome, reduce stigma, and promote a better understanding of the condition. We regularly host public seminars and workshops to provide information and dispel myths about Down syndrome. Our school outreach programs are designed to educate students and teachers about inclusivity and acceptance. Additionally, we utilize media campaigns, including TV, radio, social media, and print media, to spread awareness and share success stories.
Our inclusion programs aim to promote social integration and ensure that individuals with Down syndrome have equal opportunities. We organize community engagements and recreational events that encourage interaction and acceptance within the community.
We advocate for the rights of individuals with Down syndrome and campaign for policy changes. Our efforts include working with government and stakeholders to develop policies that protect the rights of individuals with Down syndrome. We are actively lobbying and campaigning for comprehensive healthcare policies to ensure individuals with Down syndrome have access to necessary medical care and interventions. We engage in lobbying and campaigns to push for legislative changes and represent the interests of individuals with Down syndrome in public forums and discussions.
We provide support and resources to families raising individuals with Down syndrome. Our family support services include regular support group meetings, primarily conducted on WhatsApp, where families can share experiences, seek advice, and provide mutual support. We connect families to specialists and other organisations for professional counseling services to help them cope with challenges and provide emotional support.
Our therapy services include access to a range of therapies, such as speech, physical, and occupational therapy, provided by professionals with whom we have affiliations, allowing us to offer these services at reduced rates. We also assist with medical referrals to specialized professionals and facilities for treatment that improve the quality of life for individuals with Down syndrome.
We are actively advocating for early intervention programs in public schools and healthcare to support the development of children with Down syndrome. In the meantime, we work with professional service providers to help families access these interventions more easily and at a reduced cost. We connect families to providers offering essential services such as regular developmental assessments, parent education and training, and specialized therapies including speech, physical, and occupational therapy for young children.
We build strong partnerships with local and international organizations to enhance resources and support. Our collaborative projects involve joint initiatives with other organizations to expand reach and impact. We engage in resource sharing to pool expertise and provide comprehensive support.
